UNILIT B-FLUID 0-1-2-3-4
NATURAL HYDRAULIC LIME GROUTS FOR INJECTION, STATIC REINFORCEMENT OR
STABILISATION DESCRIPTION
UNILIT
B-FLUID 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 are ready mixed mortars based on an inorganic binder of
natural hydraulic lime, and a filler. Pozzolanas
can be added to it, if necessary or desired, to adjust the degree of
hydraulicity of the product. UNILIT
B-FLUID 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 are characterized by a low content of soluble salts, a
low modulus of elasticity and high vapour permeability.
The mortars are perfectly stable and delicately prepared so as to limit
problems of microfissures and premature drying out. APPLICATION
These
three types of mortars with different granular sizes, are specially destined for
application (by injection or pouring) on
walls consisting of different components. For
example : the core of a wall consisting primarily of earth, clay, stone and
other materials, will after severe water degradation, be washed out to a degree
where only the outer walls remain as masonry.
The injection of UNILIT B-FLUID 4 will provide linkage between the two façades
to restabilise the structure. UNILIT B-FLUID 2 is a finer stabilising material
used where cracking is evident due to movement of shear. After drilling a hole
with a diameter of 40 to 50 mm and inserting a 20 mm diameter
rustproof metal or glassfiber tube, the B-FLUID 2 can be poured in, which
will result in the stabilisation of the wall. UNILIT
B-FLUID 0 will be injected as a final grouting, to fill up the remaining small
cavities. The
mortars UNILIT B-FLUID 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 will store a large quantity of salts
which may come from the substrate and migrate because of humidity.
B-FLUID 0, 2 and 4 have this capacity due to the great natural porosity
and low soluble salt content of their binder.
This guarantees the performance and extended life of the mortar. TECHNICAL PROPERTIES

B-FLUID
0 has to be mixed with 25 to 30% of clean water, B-FLUID 1 and 2 with 18 % of
clean water, B-Fluid 3 and 4 with 14 % of clean water.
The mixing has to be done mechanically, for 5 to 8 minutes. The mortars are applied manually or with the aid of a pump. The
mortars are workable for 2 hours. Their
drying period is 24 to 48 hours. They
have to be protected from frost for 48 to 72 hours after their application. PACKING
