of the substrate
The
substrate has to be clean of oil, grease and dust.
Former coats of paint have to be removed.
Existing layers of paint, if in good condition, have to be cleaned with
an ammoniac solution (2 to 5%) in water. Remove
pulverized finishes, or clean them with a specially adapted product, if in good
condition. Damaged
natural rock can be repaired with a mineral mortar.
Joints, damaged masonry or loose plasters have to be repaired with UNILIT
natural hydraulic lime mortars.
Practical
application
Keim
Biosil can be applied
with a brush, paint roller or mechanically with a spray gun.
If sprayed, please mention on your order form. Generally,
12 hours waiting time have to be considered between before applying the next
paint layer (dependent on the substrate and the weather conditions). Mineral

on the desired effect, the paint is applied in 2 or 3 coats, and in different
colours. The successive layer can be applied “fresco” or after a
drying perion of 12 hours. Colours

Biosil can be coloured

consumption rates are given for substrates with an average suction power.
Correct consumption rates can only be determined after painting a trial

buckets can be stored for 12 months in a cool, but frost free room.
Cleaning of tools
With
water, immediately after applying paint. Remark
In
case of doubt regarding the substrate, consult our technical service department. The material must be stored dry and frost free above ground.
